Dabei war ich jeden Tag mindestens einmal, oft jedoch zweimal pro Tag im Wasser. Da ich nicht abkoppelbare Katheter benutze, war es mir sehr wichtig, die Pumpe zum Schwimmen nicht ablegen zu müssen. Ich muss sagen: Das Aquapac für Insulinpumpen hat mir dabei sehr gute Dienste geleistet!Ich habe die Pumpe ins Aquapac getan, das Aquapac korrekt verschlossen und mir es um den Bauch geschnallt. Das Band habe ich dabei so weit geöffnet, dass das Aquapac mit der Pumpe an der Wasseroberfläche geschwommen ist. Die Pumpe ist dabei vollkommen trocken geblieben. Dadurch konnte ich auf ständiges Messen verzichten sowie auf regelmäßige Insulingaben mit Spritze und Pen. Ein riesengroßes Dankeschön dafür!!!!"Was ich aber zuvor gemacht habe, ist: An meiner Pumpe habe ich den Reservoirfachdachdeckel und den Batteriefachdeckel ausgetauscht, um zu gewährleisten, dass durch diese „Löcher“ kein Wasser eindringen kann, sollte es einmal passieren, dass das Aquapac durch meine eigene Unachtsamkeit nicht mehr dicht hält. Das Silikon am Reservoirfachdeckel und das Gummi des Batteriefachdeckels haben ebenfalls kein Wasser ins Pumpengehäuse eindringen lassen. Außerdem habe ich 110 Zentimeter lange Katheter-Schläuche benutzt, um sicherzugehen, dass ich mir den Katheter nicht aus Versehen aus der Haut reiße.
